Economy Crisis :(

Today weather as normal, life also as normal... Just that bad news call to daddy's income. Daddy get a bad news from his employer. It's 10% cut of daddy monthly salary. Haiz..... life style have to change start from now. Daddy told mummy that.." We have to cut down the trips back to Malacca liao, it's can save a lot of money..." Mummy respond as :'(

Daddy felt pressure on it... and mummy also felt sad on this bad news. Em... how should we plan
to reduce the cost for living style in Penang? How to make more income to cover back this 10% shortage? How to plan for saving more now? Suddenly mummy had a lot of thoughts and thinking....

Em.. close the figures hard that mummy will get a good news soon about the transfer department. Wish that the new boss can do something on mummy's salary adjustment. Thanks God that mummy on the past 1 year had extra saving from the company allowance. It's really good for us to recover the crisis now. Thanks God also that daddy & mummy not work in same company :)

Mummy knew that you sure not understand what is going on and impact to your life. Anyway, you still a good girl in our heart as you did not demand too much on spend for your toys... Let us face the crisis together and we always beside daddy to support him... :)

Journey back to Malacca 2008-11-28

Early morning we woke up and back to Malacca to attend wedding for your cousin brother, Steven.We started our journey around 8am but the first thing to do were went to Balik Pulau to fetch mom's 2nd aunt. You call her "二姑婆" :)

After fetch aunt, we went for breakfast before we start our journey into highway. You're very happy because today you have chance to go out again. Your happy face and mood all came together. You started talking, asking a lot of questions and singing. You can remember a lot of songs and you make everyone happy during this journey.

This round, mom expected that we will had a tiring trip. Due to the time very short and we need to rush back by 30th Nov'08. The trip itself for both way had been ate up 15th hours on this trip.
However, mom still happy on this trip, because we had spend times together and during the whole trip you're excited and made the whole trip full of joys. Love you so much my cuties daughter.

New friends for my litte angel :)

In the beginning of 1 year+, you did not like to watch Barney. Every time mommy want to play the DVD for you, you will cried and asked to change. But now, you love it so much. Every morning when you woke up, the very first time you will said that you want to watch Barney.

Beside Barney, you also like to see Baby Bop (Sissy) and BJ. 3 of them become your favour now. You had a lot of questions to ask about them. What, why, where always from your mouth :S until mom also cannot answer you.

While watching together with you, mom also learning together with you on what Barney taught. Mom's English very poor since last time on school. Never thought of it's important in life, that's why mom did not built the basic since primary time. So, next time you cannot like mom, have to learn it up and do your best on this language ok... Happy learning my angel with your new friends ^!^

Worried on your potty training :-(

You are now a 2 year-old+ kid, but till today, you still don't know how to control your pee ... Mummy is getting worried over this issue. Most of your friends who are almost the same age as you are pretty much potty trained during the day time.

Mummy only have time to train you up during the weekend. During the last few times, you seemed lazy to tell mummy and need mummy to force you. In actual fact, you understood but you just refused to inform. Maybe you still don't know how to control it and mummy need to spend more time on it.

At this point, you can tell things pretty well except on pee :p . You are also very good in questioning. Question from East to West and North to South ... till at times, mummy also don't know how to answer your questions. However, it's really fun that you can ask so many questions and we love your curiosity. You can remember things/actions/words quite well after seeing/hearing those for once or twice. That's why mummy felt that it should not be a problem to train you up to control and say when you wanted to pee. But, you still love your pampers :(

Errmm ..... It might be caused by mummy and daddy not trying hard enough. Both of us also lazy to train you up on the early age and only now started to get worried over it ... Haiz ... Mummy really hope that you can learn to control it soon. Can tell when u want to pee as well as when you want to poo poo. At this moment you do these two things when mummy asked or forced you to .. :$

2 Year-Old Birthday :)

Time flies so fast. Wow... you reached your 2 year-old now. Mummy can't imagine that we had been together for 24 months. hehehe.... if count from the month you inside mummy's tummy, we had been together for 34 months. Mummy very miss that period you inside my tummy... and also miss the period that mummy breast feed you.. :$
This year, we only arrange a simple celebration for you. No gift, just a cake for you. You looked happily with the cake, because when you saw a cake, in your mind it's automatically reflect 'Happy Birthday to You'.... the song that you always heard.
You really big girl now... Can understand what's the cake mean for you and also can happily enjoy it. Not like last year during your 1 year-old birthday, some more crying due to sleepy. Now, you always want to show that you are very energetic, but mummy will force you to sleep before 10pm everyday. If not, mummy really not need to rest.
Happy Birthday our sweet heart... May God always take care your health, peace and happiness.

Simple & Happy Holidays (1st - 3rd Oct 2008)

It's a long holidays again. Daddy & mummy took 1 day off as we could enjoy a 5-day holidays. For this long holidays, mummy planned to meet all the 姨姨 at Klang. We went to Klang on 1st October and you met all mummy's relative. Due to the fact that you seldom meet them, you kept crying on this day till you got yourself feeling comfortable having them around. At night we had seafood for dinner at Telok Gong, Selangor.

On 2nd Oct, we had a whole day trip at KLCC & KL Tower. We brought you to KLCC play ground, Suria KLCC for window shopping as well as visited the KLCC Aquaria. In the evening, we visited KL Tower to have a nice view on KL city from the tower itself. It was a real tiring day for you because you played without rest.

After visited KL Tower, mummy noticed that you had a fever. Daddy got a cool fever for you and after we had dinner and showered you, mummy sang song for you to have your sweet dreams. Luckily you had a good sleep over the night. The next day, we did not go out. We just let you have a rest at Klang. At night after 姨姨 back from work, we went out to the Klang's Jusco shopping mall.

Bangkok & Pattaya Trip (4th-8th Sept'08)

We decided to go ahead with the Bangkok trip as planned. As we reached the Penang International Airport, we noticed that there were still a lot of people going to Bangkok as well.

Mummy was relieved from the previous worries. We were happilly looking forward to the whole journey of the trip.

During this 5 days, we really enjoyed ourselves. We went to a lot of places and ate a lot of nice foods.

You did not eat much, just took a lot of white rice and drank your milk :) You enjoyed yourself with the Sea lion & Dophin's show, but cried when you watched the cowboy show due to the loud bombing sound effect. For most of the places, you did not understand what they were, but when you saw any beautiful design, you will show out your happiness.

When we were at Pattaya, daddy & mummy decided to go for 'Ah Gua' show. You are still small to understand who they actually are. Mummy did not tell you that all of those are men and not ladies. Hehehe ..... mummy was surprised that you enjoyed yourself watching the whole show displayed by them. You kept telling mummy that they were beautiful, nicely dancing and singing. You even clapped & bid goodbye with them in the end of the show ... hahaha ... That was very funny.

Mummy knew the fact that you were very tired. But you insisted to watch everything during the whole trip. Luckily, you could still take short naps when we travelled from one location to another. Overall, we enjoyed the whole trip very much. It was nice to travel with you, my loving daughter :)

Mummy depress on the coming trip :(

Mummy had been planned for our holidays on coming 4th September, but the news from the TV and newspaper really kill mummy's mentality as well as emotion. Mummy don't know whether want to go ahead or cancel all the booking due to the serious case show in Bangkok politic issued. Felt depress at the moment... :'(

Mummy tried not to read or listen all the news about Bangkok. But mummy still done the confirm of the situation with the tour agent at Bangkok as well as friends who are working over there. Everyone told mummy that over there life as normal and it's safe to visit there. Ask mummy not need to worry and can go ahead.

Since everything had planned and leave had been approved. Mummy decided will go ahead and don't want to waste the afford of this planning. Because mummy want to bring you to take flight before you reach your 2 year-old. Daddy show the worry face and we had a small argument on mummy's decision. But end up he decided to follow mummy :) because he loves both of us.

Mummy Miss U now :)

Mummy had a lot of things want to share with you. Mummy wanted to record down all the words that you said... em... but.. mummy was too lazy now :(

Mummy & daddy agreed that you had been grew up a lot... not only the physical but also the mental. You actively in talking nowadays, but sometime mummy still catch no ball what you trying to share.... whahahaha....

Now, you can differentiate inside vs outside and also going in vs going out. Have sense of direction now ^_^ Mummy is planning to buy you more education VCDs/DVDs, so that you
can learn better English. So far all the VCDs that you are watching now was sponsor by San Yi ...hahaha.. all were 2nd hand... but still keep very well and you love it so much.

Mummy not wish that you spend more time in front the TV, but mummy was hardly allocate out more than 2 hours for you in a day. It's now became your habit that when you turn back to home, you will request to on the VCD that you like. Around 9pm+ ... it's your time turning into sweet dream world. Mummy always waiting for weekend to come, so that mummy can spend more time for you :)

Papa.. We Love You :)

This day was just like any other normal day. The only special thing about it was today you had cake to eat. When come to cakes, the first thing that came to mind for you was 'sing hapi birt day...'

As usual we went to Church in the morning. Then daddy & mummy went to Citibank to clear the cards payment. We later enjoyed our lunch at Ribs and we bought a cake for daddy ^_^ ... Mummy wanted to bring you to the shopping mall, but with grandma's condition, it's very hard for us to spend a longer time there. We need to take care of grandma also and she can't walk for too long. However, you were a good and understanding girl and easy to convince and easy to be happy.

It's might be too tired for you to follow us around the island, and it made you felt sleepy. After we reached home, you had your afternoon nap for 2 hours and happily woke up when you saw 2nd aunt came. Mummy prepared the dinner and we had simple dinner for this day and after dinner we enjoy the cake cutting and photo shooting with daddy.. ^_^

Your First Hair Cut

Today, daddy & mummy brought you to cut your hair for the very first time since you were born ^_^ . Daddy went ahead to have my hair cut first. Mummy kept telling you that you need to be good and sit still when it's your turn to have your hair cut.

Once daddy was done, you were brought to the chair where u were put on a piece of plank. You were pretty happy when seated there and you kept saying 'chuo kau kau' (sitting at a higher spot). When the lady started to trim your hair, you very quiet and still to let her do the cutting. And often, you kept smiling happily in front of the mirror ^_^.

Recent Trip to Malacca

We went back to Malacca last Friday (18th Jul) till Monday (21st Jul). As usual, you were only excited to see Shi Yi (4th aunt) when we arrived. Everyone else were like total strangers to you eventhough you have already met everyone before.

When you saw San Chiu (3rd uncle), you kept saying "mai mai ..." (i don't want) and ran to daddy and said "papa pau-pau" (daddy, carry me). We could clear saw tears flowing out from your eyes then. Poor little thing.

When we went to Shi Yi's house, you were busy walking and running around. And the next thing was .. you climbed up to the upper deck of double decker bed all by yourself and you happily said "pha kau kau" (literally means climb to a high spot).

Time flies. You are going to be 2-year-old soon.

Loving talking to U

Mummy really enjoy talking to you. You are so funny :) and sometimes felt that you like a big girl now..
Mummy noted some of the conversation with you as below :-

then mummy will ask you to be patience and wait for the turn... hehehe....

You had a lot of requests, everyday sure you want to watch... pokoyo, 123, jie jie chang ge...
When you felt boring, you will turn you attention to play your drum, ball, writing board and also disturb mummy & daddy...heheheehe....

4.) Bathing

U : pom pom liao... (mean want to bath)
U : tuo yi fu ..(take off the cloth -脱衣服)
U : tuo ku zhi.. (take off the pant -脱裤子)
U : sua ya (brush teeth - 刷牙) but you dunno how to brush. Mummy just give u the tooth brush and let you bite on it...
U : kong kong.... water... duo duo (u ask for the mug and request to fill in the water)

Mummy will let you play until finish washing your whole body.... then mummy will stop you and put back the stuff. You will request me to wrap you using the towel and you will happily running out and said : zhao pa pa (找爸爸).... you will calling halo... pa pa.... with you sweeties smile...
Until mummy call you back to the room only you will return back to wear your cloth.

Like to talk to you, because when you answer mummy question, you will process your mind... think before you answer it. Sometimes tell you something and asking you whether you understand or not and you will seriously think it and answer.... Not sure whether u really understand or not, but mummy just make it a habit for you to make decision, to think and to understand. Always asking you the 5W1H question....hehehe... hope that you are not boring with this... :p

21 months old :)

Times flied very fast, mummy can't believe that you are now 21 months old. Missing so much during the time that you are just born. The feeling and the images of first time I saw you was still very clear in mummy eyes.

Now you started to give mummy pressure. Felt burden to take care you especially on teaching and coaching part. Mummy tried to figure out how to guide you when you do mistake and how to avoid you to repeat again.

Maybe mummy too pampered you and mummy heart was too soft. Mummy worried that you felt lonely. Regret that mummy did not spend much times with you especially during your play times. Most of the time, mummy need to take care the housework during weekend.

Mummy want to thanks 大姑 and 阿嘛, because both of them spend most of their times to play with you. You learn a lot of things from them and it's what mummy felt thankful to them. You are big girl now and mummy must do the best to spend more times for you started from now onward.

1st time met the real clown :)

Today mummy bring you to have a lunch in Hotel. There was a clown inside the restaurant.

This was first time you met a real clown and you are crying when the clown walk near by and touching you.

Maybe you can't accept the face that you never saw before, so you felt unsecured and cried.
You keep on saying don't want and want mummy or daddy to carry you... until few times daddy
convinced and show you the clown actually was very friendly only you started to accept it.

The clown making a flower hat and the butterfly for you and you look very happy on it. You
remember the clown and when you saw the balloon, you will told mummy it was given by the clown :)

1 Day Trip to Kedah

Due to school holidays, 三姨's family with 大姨 came to our house for a '3 days and 2 nights' stay.
During their stay, we had a 1-day trip to Kedah. We went to the Padi Museum, Bukit Kayu Hitam and also to Lye Huat Garden.

You enjoyed the trip very much. You've were busy walking & looking around especially when we're in the Padi Museum. You thought that all the pictures were real and ask me to bring you to see the cows and padi fields....
but mummy can't do that because it's only a painting.

At Lye Huat Garden, you were very happy to see so many animals like birds, monkeys and fishes. Mummy was happy to bring you out for the trip but it was indeed a very tiring day... :(

A Song before your bedtime

Every night you would request daddy or mummy to sing to you before you turn in to dreamland. Today was also without an exception … hehehe … you made mummy a request which mummy couldn’t fulfill that 100% reason being mummy is totally not good at this song.

You all guess what song was that? :) It's the Doraemon’s song. Mummy was only able to make the tune on this and with the last word … do ra e mon … but you were also very happy on this. Laugh & laugh happily when mummy sang this song for you. Mummy think that I'll need to learn that up so mummy can teach you to sing this song 1 day :)

Today you explore yourself in new words. You can said Flower, Rabbit , Orange & Koala bear. It might because you always heard what mummy saying and you learn it from that. Beside this the Magic English VCD also help a lot. It because of the song, when mummy asked how are you? Hahaha… you will reply: I’m fine, Thank you x 2 with the tones follow the song.

When you sitting inside the car, you knew where to get your reading book. While taking your book, you will said Du Shu (读书). Every time after open few minutes you will put back the book. Mummy have to watch up you on this, because you are quite naughty. You tile out the book before, so mummy cannot let you repeat this mistake. Have to watch up and punish you if necessary.

When you finish your milk, you will said ‘finish’. When you think of to drink water, you will said water ai ai (mean you want water). When you want to sleep, you will request your booster and your pacifier.

You also knew how to request people to carry you and you will pick your toys to play. Now daddy & mummy have to watch you up closely, because you are too actives and like to open the drawer to see what interested to pick and play.

Since that you can start express yourself, mummy now let you free from pampers at day time when we are at home. But have to let you pass xiao bian (小便) every 60-90minus. So far so good, you are cooperative with mummy :)

My 18th months baby :)

Now you are 18^th months baby. Mummy very happy on your achievement and thanks for the Da Gu (baby sitter) as well. You can tell mummy your body part with very clear and correct showing. When mummy ask where is your hand? You will show to mummy and repeat the word very clearly. You can said in mandarin or English with the words, Yan Jing眼睛 (Eyes), Er Duo 耳朵 (Ear), Bi Zi 鼻子(Nose), Zui Ba 咀吧 (Mouth), Tou Fa 头发(Hair), Shou手 (Hand) & Jiao脚 (Leg).

You also can sang more than 3 sentences of the song. Now, you know how to make request what kind of VCD or song you like. You also can understand what daddy or mummy asking now. What ever we ask, you will respond. If you are not sure, you will be quiet without respond. You also like to go to the Church and when asking where you want to go, you will said 找 Jesus (looking for Jesus).

Now, you also can said very clearly with the English words: light, birds, motorbike, car, ball, cat, dog, tree, thank you and sorry.... nice to see your improvement.... great work done my baby...

Aurelia is 1 and a half years old today

Today you reached another milestone of your life. You are now 1 and a half years old today. The same goes to Kelvin. All cheers to Aurelia and Kelvin for turning 1.5 today !!!.

Well, today is also the day Daddy & Mummy had to take you to the clinic for your jab for 1.5 year-old. You woke up as usual in the morning. Mummy gave you a bottle of milk after you woke which you happily drank away. Along the drive to the clinic, Mummy kept telling you today we are taking you to "da chen" (taking a jab) and you kept repeating after Mummy saying "da chen". When Mummy ask you where you were going, you replied "da chen". Hmm, not really sure if you really know what's the meaning of that or not. Mummy said to you in chinese asking you that you must not cry during "da chen" and you repeated "zhi dao" (means I know or ok in chinese).

Once we reached the clinic, the doctor checked you as normal. After the check, you need to wait for another attending nurse for your jab. When it's time, the nurse instructed Mummy to carry you with your arms 'secured'. Hmm, you were yelling your heart out when the nurse gave you the jab. But Daddy had to praise the nurse for a really good job done. It was a really quick jab. You kept saying "dong dong .. dong dong" (painful in chinese) where Mummy kept calming you down. Poor thing. Luckily a nurse diverted your attention using a rattler and you were then ok in a while.

Good Friday on 2008

Today, we did not stay at Penang. We were in San Yi’s house. Today are San Yi & Jian Kai ge ge birthday. This day also was Good Friday on this year calendar. Good Friday meant Jesus Christ surrender himself to the God to safe sins from the world.

From yesterday till tomorrow night we need to attend every day mass. Yesterday was last supper for Jesus. Today is Jesus die (Good Friday) and tomorrow we will waiting for Jesus risen (Easter eve).

We did not have big celebration for San Yi & Jian Kai’s birthday. We sang a birthday song for them after we back from the church service around 10.30pm. We also had a cake for them and took some nice photos. During all the events, we celebrate together with San Yi’s family and Si Yi’s family. We had a nice gathering on this and you built better relationship with them as well. Now, you can call San Yi, Si Yi, Yi Chang, auntie and uncle very clearly. You always improve yourself to learn new words. So, daddy and mummy need to be more careful when we speak, because you learn everything. Either bad or good you just copy from what we are saying… hahahaha…

Election Day - A Day to Make a Stand

Today is Election Day. It's a day where everyone in the country should make a stand to choose their representatives in the Government.

Well, you are home alone with Daddy. Ah mah is at home with us also. Mummy took the night bus back home last night to cast her vote. Somehow, this year felt very different for us. Somehow we felt very much closer to the country's political issues and it's a must for us to make a stand.

Today you woke up early as usual. Daddy made you a bottle of milk after a long night sleeping. After you had your milk, Daddy asked ah mah to watch over you for a while Daddy went to the market to get some veges and meat.

After having breakfast, Daddy bathed you and dressed you up. Once Daddy and ah mah were ready, we went to fetch da-ku (eldest paternal aunt) and start our journey to cast our votes. Daddy drove da-ku to her polling spot, followed by Daddy's and ah mah's polling spot.

You were seated happily on your car seat looking around at the sceneries and cars that you came across along the way. You also happily talking to da-ku. Well, I guess you must be pretty tired for staying awake since you woke up in the morning. Once you got home and had your milk, Daddy tugged you to bed and you were fast asleep.

Mummy will be taking the night bus home tonight. You'll be able to see mummy back home again tomorrow morning.

Your First Chinese New Year

You had your first Chinese New Year celebration when you were 4 months old. You woke up at your usual time and mummy had you bathed. Mummy dressed you up in your new dress, a gift from auntie Gey Peng & uncle Miguel.

After when we were ready, we went to church to attend the morning Mass. After that, we went to visit Ah Kong & Ah Mah (paternal) for CNY. Then we meet up with all the aunties and uncles. Hmm, you collected a lot of angpows (red packets). A red packet will mean it's a blessing from the person who gave that.

Your first time turning your body over by yourself

The picture was taken on the day you successfully to turn your body over by yourself. We can see that you were trying hard to turn left and right. At first, you were half successful. Meaning that you managed to turn your body over till you were lying on the side of your body. After that, you dropped back onto your back.

You kept going for quite a number of times until you successfully turned your body over till you are lying on your chest. See how glad you are with the little smile you gave when called by Daddy & Mummy. Yay!! What an achievement !!!

Short Holiday Trip to KL

We took you down to KL for a short holiday trip to visit all the aunts and uncles. Aunty Agnes & Uncle Aldren got up to KL from Malacca to meet us. We didn't visit much place during this trip except a visit to Mummy's uncle's place. Other than that, we spend most of the time at Aunty Rosa's place in Klang.

First Time Lifting Up Your Head

This is the first time that you successfully lifted up your head when you are lying on your chest. Once you got it up, you were quite happy when Daddy & Mummy called to you. Can see it through the smile on your face.

Previously, your neck was not strong enough for you to be able to lift up your head. So, whenever you are sleeping in that position, you'll stay on one side of your face until either Mummy or Daddy turned your face over to the other side. In a way, it helps to keep your ears closed to your head.

Sleeping Sack

Daddy got you a sleeping sack for use when you were small. It really helped you to sleep better and avoided unnecessary blankets to cover you during your bedtimes. You looked like you felt really cozy and comfy. The pictures speak for themselves. Below are some of Daddy's favourite pictures of you in the sleeping sack.

Hmm ... Should have started this earlier ...

Like what the title stated, should have started this earlier say Day 1 when Aurelia was born. Now, it's rather difficult to back track the events all the way back like more than 1 year ago. So many things happened. Well, I think the thing that I can do now is to put down the important events and start the journal from this day onwards ... I think it will still work :-)

Chinese New Year 2008

Dong Dong Zhang x2, Gong Xi x2 etc... Chinese New Year come again… and mummy as usual bring you back to Malacca, to meet mummy’s family. We start our journey on the first day of CNY after we visit Ah Kong & Ah Ma. Due to you still small, so we had our journey to Klang and overnight 1 day before we back to Malacca.

This year, the ambiance was difference. You can’t find maternal grandpa as usual. When mummy asking you where was maternal grandpa? You will turn your head to look at the chair that grandpa always sat. Ask you to call Ah Kong, you will do it without fail.

For you, you still enjoy the fun with all the姐姐(Jie Jie) and 哥哥(Ge Ge). Now, you are more comfortable with them, and can let them to carry you. You enjoy walking as well. At night we bring you to see灯笼(Deng Long) at Joker Street, Malacca. Mummy teach you new word call Deng Long… Every times mummy teaching you new words, you will try to pronoun it. Mummy felt happy to teach you and also enjoying to talk to you.

Let's go to Langkawi...

Today morning we woke up very early because we want to go Langkawi for holidays.

Kai Ling 姐姐 fetch us to take breakfast first before we on board to the ferry. This is first time you sitting inside the ferry and you look very happy on it. You saw a lots of peoples and showing your sweet smiling with all of them. Everyone so happy to see you and saying that you are so cute and lovely.

You had your short nape during the journey to Langkawi. We reached there around 11.30am and daddy rent a Toyota Innova 2.0. Daddy drove the car and we met 三姨(San Yi)’s family at Langkawi Airport. We had a lunch before we check in to the Awana Porto Malai Resort. We will be staying here for 3 days 2 nights. Mummy just hope that you are ok with this plan and your body can accept the environment. Mummy force you to drink a lot of water, to avoid you get fever and make sure you have enough sleep.
