Memories of maternal grandma...

This day is your maternal grandmother rest in peace 2 years memories. Since you born, you had no chanced to meet her. However, she was the most important women in mummy life. This day, you are not in Penang, but you are follow mummy & daddy back to mummy hometown, Malacca. We had 2 days prayers for soul of maternal grandma.

We stay at Malacca 4 days. Mummy also take this chance to visit all your aunties & uncles (mummy’s sibling).You are also meeting with a lot of sisters and brothers. Because you’re the youngest, so everybody also love you and want to carry you. But you are quite choosy, you only can attached with 四姨(Si Yi) and Amanda 姐姐(jiex2). Others, you are 50-50 only, depend on mood. Maybe you seldom meeting with them, so you felt not secure with the face that in your unknown list… :(

Mummy promise that will bring you more often, so that you can know mummy’s family members well.

Aurelia 8 months old :)

Today you are 8 months old. You like to stand and play now. You look happy when you are inside your own bed. On your bed, you can see bears on your bed sheet. You can play with butterfly and bear as well. But the most you like is your booster. Without the booster, you felt something is missing.

Mummy said you are the good girl so far, because every night you will turn to your sweet dream period around 9 to 9.30pm without fail. You also allow us to sleep well over the night, so that we can turn to work place without sleepy face.

As a 8 months old baby, you had 4 teethes. Can turn as well as crawl. You also can walk when you sit inside the walker. You also start your curious for all the drawers. When you saw mummy or daddy open 1 of the drawer, you will do your best to try it out later. Hehehe…. Every time also you are managed to open it and take out all the things inside. Mummy have no choice, so mummy use the drawer locker to lock it up. It’s to avoid you destroy any important thing.

Mummy try to change your attention with playing the VCD for you. You can learn Mandarin song as well as learn some simple words in English. You knew how to call ‘mama’ & ‘papa’. Start to learn yes or no with using your head. Ya… 1 word you will not forget, that is your milk. When you hungry, you will request it. You consider a fast learner in mummy & daddy heart.

First Christmas in Penang

The picture above was taken during Christmas 2006. Taken in church after attending the midnight mass on Christmas eve. Mummy & Daddy decided not to travel down to Malacca as we worry that it might be stressful for you since that you are still small.

You were pretty tired during the mass which you slept. But you woke up in the end and then was busy looking around the church as it was full of people who attended the mass that night.

Baptism Day

When you were 2 months old, you were baptized in the Holy Spirit Church. On that very day, you were sound asleep in Mummy's arm until the moment your forehead was touched by the holy water. I guess the water actually gave you a chill and it eventually woke you up from your slumber.


Over here, you were baptized by Father Henry Rajoo while you were still in your deep slumber.

Day 1 At Home ...

Today is the first day back home after the first few days spent in the hospital. Mummy was still pretty tired after the caesarean section. You looked little yellowish due to jaundice. You got a couple of nurses' visits from the clinic near our home. They noticed the jaundice you had but confirmed that it was just a mild one. It went away after a few days.

Your maiden trip down south

After slightly more than a week of your full moon day, you took your maiden trip down south with Daddy & Mummy. That was for you to meet relatives down south in Malacca. It was mainly to meet all the uncles and aunts (maternal side). Everyone was very anxiously awaiting for your arrival.

Full Moon Day - 1 Month Old

This picture was taken on the full moon day for Aurelia. She was 1-month-old and mummy was getting out of the confinement period. Time really passed by fast from the day she was born when she was so little then. She has got some gifts and blessings from everyone around her.

Daddy was busy going around to distribute the full moon packages to friends and relatives. That was a trip around Penang island. I'm very particular on this full moon package thingy. Well, it's mainly for relatives. Colleagues in office and friends are standard with gift vouchers. But, for relatives, I always feel that this is more appropriate and feels more meaningful. Say whatever you want, but when it comes to this area, I still prefer the old school stuff.
